Colin Parkin has been involved in the Financial Services Industry for over 40 years.  His career has extended from Direct Sales to Sales Management to an Independent Financial Adviser.  In his career he has been a General Manager of an Insurance Company and was responsible for 750 staff members and generating a £7 million profit.  His greatest satisfaction comes from meeting people and helping them achieve their financial goals and objectives.  His personal motto is “saving the world one life at a time."  He is committed to understanding client needs and strategies and providing them with the best possible service.  In 1990 he started to work in the Public Sector with new countries being brought into the EU zone and completed a number of Trade Missions on behalf of UK Trade and Industry in Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia.  A number of the missions were undertaken as Mission Leader and these were instrumental in winning huge contracts for UK businesses.  While working in the EU Market Colin completed many live TV interviews.

Colin is an Internationally renowned speaker and has spoken in Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, United States, Taiwan and the UK.  The main topic is “Soft Selling – The Secrets” and he has various other talks from identifying clients to client profiling and various behavioral concepts.  Colin regularly writes in Industry magazines with the most famous being a one-on-one debate with Warren Buffett on the diversification of assets.  Wealth Management platforms have now become the preferred trading platform for most Security Advisers, which proves that client diversification was needed.

Colin’s previous practice Ample Financial Services reached the final of the Small Business Practice Awards for two consecutive years. 

Colin currently serves on a number of committees for MDRT allowing input and shaping for the future generations of Financial Advisers.

Colin has a number of outside interests, including golf, ten-pin bowling, game shooting and travelling with his wife Julie.  He has two children who are both married with two children each and loves to spend time with the whole family.
